In America, many of our patients do not speak English. This presents a challenge for us as healthcare providers when trying to communicate or acquire pertinent information regarding their illness or injury. Deaf persons who communicate via American Sign Language (ASL) can compound this issue, if we are not educated appropriately. In this video, Bryan teaches you how to sign common medical questions and responses, so that you can better communicate with your deaf patients.
